MECHANICAL R&D ENGINEER

The Mechanical R&D Engineer develops new concepts and prototypes for mechanical assemblies in Mechanica Sistemi’s conveyor systems. This role supports product innovation by designing, testing, and refining components for enhanced performance and reliability.

Main activities:

• Design and test mechanical components and assemblies in R&D projects
• Support prototyping, test bench construction, and data collection
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure functional integration
• Analyze mechanical performance and propose design improvements
• Document designs, testing results, and technical evaluations.

Skills and attitudes required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience in mechanical design and testing environments

• Proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting (e.g., Inventor)

• Interest in mechanical innovation and systems optimization

• CAD modeling and drawing

• Mechanical testing and analysis

• Experimental design and documentation

• Problem-solving and creativity• Team-oriented mindset

Job grade and compensation will be aligned with the candidate's technical skills and professional experience.

For the position of Mechanical R&D Engineer, employment will be under the Italian Metalworking Industry Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria), with an indicative classification between C3 and B2 levels and a gross annual salary (RAL) ranging from €30.000 to €50.000.

The final compensation package will be determined based on the candidate's professional experience, level of autonomy in mechanical design and research & development activities, as well as their overall technical expertise.
