Nam Spa is currently recruiting on behalf of a major Banking Client for the following position:
AML & Compliance Specialist (Banking)
Location: Milan
Department: Compliance / Risk Management
About the Role:
On behalf of our client, a leading banking institution, we are looking for a detail-oriented AML & Compliance Specialist. In this role, you will be a key player in safeguarding operations by managing anti-money laundering controls and providing expert guidance on regulatory requirements. You will work on a dynamic range of domestic and international projects, ensuring retail banking activities remain secure and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Control & Monitoring: Build and monitor the anti-money laundering controls plan.
• Investigation: Monitor and verify transaction alerts and investigate the activity of suspicious clients.
• Advisory: Provide guidance on anti-money laundering matters in accordance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Support: Provide support to the first line of defense in relation to anti-money laundering risks.
Requirements
• Education: University degree in Economics, Law, or equivalent.
• Experience: 1+ year of experience in anti-money laundering with a focus on retail banking (profiling, KYC, transaction monitoring, SARs, etc.).
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep knowledge of the Italian anti-money laundering requirements for the banking industry.
• Technical Skills: Strong ethical standards and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel.
• Languages: Fluency in Italian and English is required; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
• Mindset: Open to working on a variety of domestic and foreign projects.
